In this section I like to make a brief comparison about how teacher has been viewed through out history.

- In the past, teachers used to use traditional teaching techniques and limited tools, but nowadays they are being eclectic; taking the best from each field and updated to expand their repertoire of knowledge, experience and skills...

In the past, a teacher was considered the only source of knowledge but nowadays technology put teachers in in a lower position, in which students rely on technology rather than on teachers.

In the past, there were less fields of specialization which make people lost and confused on what       major they want, but nowadays there are a lot of teachers who have more than one major and higher degrees in education.

 - In the past, teachers were more respected than nowadays; maybe because they have more authority than now and were more respected and valued by the government.

  2. You are right Iman! We can't deny that technology is important in teaching and learning process, but as you have said technology lower teacher's position in some cases. Regardless all of this, the position of teachers do not have limits, and nothing can lower it. Students, government, and all the society must know the importance of the teacher.

  3. i think what really changed is that people used to give teachers the respect and credit for their hard work . But nowadays although the work got harder people seem to see that it is the teacher's job to teach children everything respect, nobility and knowledge. so people point of view has changed from the past and the teachers.

    1. Unfortunatly this is what is happening...parents, students and the government are treating teachers as machines without feelings...Especially when the government isn't giving us our easiest rights that we really deserve...

  4. Welcome Fatum but I think that people nowadays should know how were people's views in the past and now. It seems that these view is getting worse mainly because the government isn't giving that importance and respect to teacher...

  5. You are right Iman.
According to my opinion, it is good to use technology in the teaching and the learning process, and its also good for students to use it. But what we are facing now a days is really very bad! The teacher should not lose her respect or her importance!
All the people, students, parents, or government should appreciate what a teacher is doing, and what a teacher is!

    1. For sure...the teacher should keep her/his respect eventhough everything is changing all around us, it can be done by the government primarly and by parents secondarly...

  6. this is true. the points of view of the people towered teaching and teachers changed. now teachers are obliged to hold higher responsibilities. they are asked to teach not only the content but also how to deal with life problems, how to be respectful.... now while dealing with this i-generation teachers become a minor source of knowledge and their views in societies vary.

    1. It is hard for us to deal with the i-generation because it is a challange for us to show students that we can help them even if have sofisticated methods in technology.
