Phytoremediation
As you know our environment is facing many problems which is affecting human beings. It is our role to search for new and least harmful solutions in order to decrease these harmful effects. One new technology to do that is phytoremediation, which is a natural and new technique to decrease the contaminants in water and soil. It is also the direct use of living green plants for in situ, or in place, removal, degradation, or containment of contaminants in soils, sludges, sediments, surface water and groundwater.
There are many types of phytoremediation:
1. Phytostabilization:
It involves absorption of contaminants by roots such that they are immobilized and then harvested.

1. Phytostabilization:
It involves absorption of contaminants by roots such that they are immobilized and then harvested.
2. Rhizodegradation
This takes place in the soil or ground water immediately surrounding the plant roots. Exudates from plants stimulate rhizosphere bacteria to enhance biodegradation of soil contaminants.
3. Phytohydraulics
4. Phytoextraction
Plants take up or hyperaccumulate contaminants through their roots and store them in the tissues of the stem or leaves. The contaminants are not necessarily degraded but are removed from the environment when the plants are harvested.
5. Phytovolatilization
Plants take up volatile compounds through their roots, and transpire the same compounds, or their metabolites, through the leaves, thereby releasing them into the atmosphere.
6. Phytodegradation
Contaminants are taken up into the plant tissues where they are metabolized, or biotransformed into less harmful forms.
That's why, it is good to follow such techniques in orden to lessen the harmful effects of contaminants.

Being a Teacher
Being a good teacher doesn't mean to write on the board or explain the lesson, it means to teach our students how to think, how to use knowledge in their life, how to let them discover new things, how to learn from mistakes...Be a good teacher not only because it is your job but also to create a new future full of courage and hope...
Walking Barefoot
Many people think that walkin barefoot is something bad and harmful for us, but in reality it is of a great benefit to do that at least 5 minutes per day. However, walking barefoot in any surface doesn't carry the same beneficial effect; in order to obtain observable and benefitial effects you should walk on natural surfaces such as sand and grass.
As you walk barefoot on natural surfaces, the harmful and excessive positive charges which are called free radicle are attracted by the earth's negative charges. As a result, the amount of these free radicles which are the main cause of all our pain, illness and stress will be eliminated naturally and without taking any antibiotic.
Moreover, walking barefoot will decrease the risk of having a heart attack. It can be prevented because as you walk barefoot you are eliminating the excessive positive charges on the surface of red blood cell which are the main cause of an increase in the blood viscousity. So, if those charges are eliminated we are decreasing the blood viscousity and therefore preventing heart attack
To sum up, you should walk barefoot at least 5 minutes per day to keep your body healthy.

While you are reading these post you will find some interesting and rare biological facts that you never imagine...
1. Do you know that if you each the live of a bear you will die directly because our body can't handle that much vitamin A.
2. Do you know that a full head of human hair can handle about 12 tons.
3. Do you know that honey never spoil so you can eat 3000 year old honey.
4. Do you know that when we blush the linning of our stomach blush too.
5. Do you know that with the 60,000 miles of blood vessels inside the average human body, you could circumnavigate Earth two and a half times.
6. Do you know that in 30 minutes, the human body gives off enough heat to bring a gallon of water to the boil.
7. Do you know that for every pound of fat or muscle gained, your body creates seven miles of new blood vessels.
8. Do you know that we exercise at least 36 muscles when we smile.
9. Do you know that the main purpose of eyebrows is to keep sweat out of the eyes.
10. Do you know that each red blood cell can survive for about 120 days.

In this section I like to make a brief comparison about how teacher has been viewed through out history.
- In the past, a teacher was considered the only source of knowledge but nowadays technology put teachers in in a lower position, in which students rely on technology rather than on teachers.
- In the past, there were less fields of specialization which make people lost and confused on what major they want, but nowadays there are a lot of teachers who have more than one major and higher degrees in education.
- In the past, teachers were more respected than nowadays; maybe because they have more authority than now and were more respected and valued by the government.

A great event that occured few days ago was a conference for women at LIU. It included different people with different nationalities and point of views. It introduced the changes which women faced during the past years and how people changed their point of view toward women as an active member in the society.
It was really challenged for those who were presenting specially when the audience asked sensitive questions, but they all replied in an efficient way. This conference took two days of hard work and effort fo every single member that was involved.
In my opinion there must be a huge number of conferences done concerning women because nowadays they have a big impact in the society.
